i am generally interested in the process of creating and in the formation of surreal objects and spatial ambiguities. with this series i began with the abstraction of a found painting of a skull, this reinterpretation on canvas was then cut and reassembled onto the original frame. finally a photograph (which was then manipulated in photoshop) is taken of the work in conjunction with various lighting effects, in order to epress and enhance the colors, textures, reflections, shadows and transparencies inherent in the final artwork.
